About us....

who?

'Out to Celebrate!' is run by Dee Been & Cath Sears. We've been together for 17 years & held our own Civil Partnership ceremony & celebrations in June 2006. We have a wealth of experience in co-ordinating & running events, together with first-hand knowledge of local wedding providers, together with excellent communication, negotiation & organisational skills.

why?

We quickly found out that organising your own ‘Civvie P’ can be a very daunting prospect! After all; there’s no set etiquette, or rules, to follow. Trying to find your way through the heterosexual maze of ‘marriage’ can be confusing. The world of wedding fairs remains a largely heterosexual domain. Also, when it’s your day, & you’re emotionally involved, it can be hard to see whether people really do have your interests at heart.

But it doesn’t have to be that way! It’s your day, it is exciting & it can be whatever you want it to be.

how?

We can help you negotiate the intricate, puzzling & sometimes stressful journey to Civil Partnership & work towards creative & imaginative ways to make your day unique. We have spent a great deal of time meeting service providers & exploring the wide range of options available. We will only ever recommend suppliers who, in our opinion, are not only reliable, but are also genuinely gay-friendly & we always thoroughly research just the right person for each job. It matters! It’s your most important day & you need to have people with whom you feel comfortable around you.

how much?

The idea that hiring a ‘wedding planner’ is an expensive extravagance is no longer true. We are happy to be involved as much, or as little as you want. Wherever possible, we will negotiate discounted rates with suppliers, thus reducing the overall cost to you. In all cases, we offer a free initial consultation, to discuss your ideas, how we could help & what it might cost. This is followed up with a detailed written summary & proposal, including fees.
